Hillary Clinton endured a coughing spell while discussing the 2020 campaign in an interview with radio shock jock Howard Stern.
“I feel like I need to give you a cough drop or something … you OK?” Stern asked Clinton.
“I got one,” Clinton said.
Stern then referenced Clinton’s coughing during the 2016 campaign. The former secretary of state and Democratic presidential nominee struggled at times during campaign speeches and debates with coughing fits, stoking speculation about her health.
During a campaign speech in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2016, Clinton blamed the coughing on an allergy to President Trump.
“I was dying,” Clinton quipped to Stern. “I thought I would come on and cough some more.”
