He turned 51 on Sunday and remains competitive on the PGA Tour, finishing sixth at the Masters. After a runner-up in his Champions Tour debut in January, Couples captured his next three events but hasn’t won since. The first of his 15 PGA wins came at the Kemper Open at Congressional in 1983.

Jay Haas

He won the first Kemper Open played at Avenel (1987). Two other players in the field, Morris Hatalsky (1988) and Bill Glasson (1992), also have victories at Avenel. The 60-year-old won the first Champions Tour major he played, the 2000 Tradition, but hasn’t won another since.
Bernhard Langer

The German spent most of his career close to home, capturing 42 European Tour events, but has carved out a nice second career on the Champions Tour, winning two senior majors this year — the U.S. and British Senior Opens. Langer ranks No. 1 in Charles Schwab Cup points.
Mark O’Meara
PGA wins: 16; Champions wins: 1
After playing 57 events and finishing runner-up nine times, O’Meara, 53, finally won on the Champions Tour, with a catch. His victory in the Legends of Golf came in a team event with Nick Price. O’Meara’s last two PGA wins were majors — the Masters and British Open, both in 1998.

Pavin turned 50 in November but has played only 11 Champions Tour events this year as his time has been split between playing on the PGA Tour (eight events) and serving as captain of the U.S. Ryder Cup team. He was the runner-up twice on the Champions Tour this year and once on the PGA.

The “Boss of the Moss” is known for his pure putting stroke. The 55-year-old has made a fortune on the Champions Tour. His 12 wins include four senior majors and a win this year at the Dick’s Sporting Goods. He won the 2007 Senior Players at Baltimore Country Club.
