CNN’s Jim Acosta slammed as ‘certifiable narcissist’ for photo getting vaccine wearing ‘self-flattering’ shirt

CNN’s Jim Acosta was slammed as a “narcissist” after posting a photo of himself receiving the coronavirus vaccine while wearing a T-shirt touting stories he’s covered as a reporter in 2020.

“My goodness this t-shirt is quite the way of screaming that you’re a certifiable narcissist,” NewsBusters managing editor Curtis Houck tweeted Monday. “Jim Acosta has to be in the top ten of the most self-centered journalists and Americans period.”

His comment came in response to Acosta posting a photo of himself on Monday wearing a shirt sold on the White House Correspondents’ Association website, while encouraging the public to receive the coronavirus vaccine.

“In 2020, I covered the impeachment trial & a caucus night (that lasted a week) & the primaries & the covid pandemic & the economic crash & the racial justice protests & Lafayette Square & so many rallies & the death of RBG & the president’s 1AM coronavirus diagnosis & a Supreme Court confirmation & an election night (that lasted a week) & things by tweet & the recounts & the presidential transition & I have a commemorative shirt to prove it,” the shirt says.

JIM ACOSTA SAYS HE NEARLY ALWAYS ENCOUNTERS TRUMP SUPPORTERS SHOUTING ‘CNN SUCKS’ AT RALLIES

Other conservatives piled on Acosta.

Acosta would often spar with President Donald Trump during his four years in office, with Trump labeling him as a member of the “fake news establishment” and a “rude and terrible person.”

Acosta slammed the former president in January as posing a “threat” to the country and having the potential to lead a “fringe movement” going forward.

“While he’s still licking his wounds down in Mar-a-Lago, he poses a threat to this country,” Acosta said at the time. “This is not a time to put away our fact-checkers in some sort of box on a shelf. They’re going to be needed to fact-check this movement. Trump may be going away, but Trumpism is not.”
