Clinton releases speaker list for Dem convention

As Republicans struggle to create party unity in Cleveland, Hillary Clinton released a long list of speakers for the Democratic National Convention next week in Philadelphia.

In addition to the major speakers — which include Bernie Sanders Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Chelsea Clinton — the Democrats will have over sixty congressmen, mayors, governors and senators speak.

“As Donald Trump continues his divisive convention in Cleveland with dangerous ideas that would pose a threat to our economy and national security, Democrats are preparing to lay out the clear stakes in this election in Philadelphia — a choice between building walls and tearing people down or an optimistic unifying vision where everyone has a role to play in building our future,” the Clinton campaign wrote in a press release on Thursday.

Other prominent speakers include progressive Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, former Gov. Howard Dean, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, former Sen. Tom Harkin, former governor and primary candidate Martin O’Malley and Sen. Tim Kaine, among others. All potential vice presidential candidates will speak at the convention, except those currently serving in Obama’s Cabinet.
