The federal government is funneling $4 million into Maryland to help the state recover from an abnormally snowy winter. The Federal Emergency Management Agency said Tuesday that the money will help repair transportation infrastructure shaken by the December 2009 snowstorm, which temporarily incapacitated the region for more than a week. The Dec. 18-20 storm dumped an average 25 inches of snow across the state, hitting some areas harder than others. Montgomery and 10 other counties plus Baltimore City have been selected to receive the funding.
