CHARLOTTE, N.C. – It’s a common shout-out from women at political events featuring the president or first lady: “I love you” or “I love Barack.”
But the voice was a little deeper Wednesday when first lady Michelle Obama visited the Human Rights Campaign Victory Fund rally to cheer on members of the nation’s leading gay rights group.
Here’s how the White House pool reported it: “When FLOTUS began talking about the campaign’s list of Obama’s LGBT accomplishments, a male audience member says, ‘I love Barack.’
“FLOTUS replied, ‘I do too. We have something in common.'”
At the rally, HRC President Chad Griffin offered a kind fashion review of the first lady’s outfit for her Tuesday night speech at the Democratic Convention here. “Did you see that dress she was wearing? Where do I get those arms? Can she deliver a speech and inspire America or what?”
