Female college students filmed in dorm shower

Several female students at Middle Tennessee State University caught a peeping tom using his cell phone to record them in the shower at their dorm, Nashville’s News Channel 5 reported.

Murfreesboro police arrested 22-year-old Cremaine Booker after one of the students — who asked not to be identified — spotted  a cell phone propped up on the divider between stalls while she showered. The student looked out of the shower only to find Booker, who worked as a front desk assistant at the dorm, Rutledge Hall.

“I turned off the water and the person grabbed the phone and when I looked out of the shower it was a deskworker,” she told News Channel 5.

Booker was charged with 10 counts of unlawful photography invading privacy.

“Myself naked in the showers. Police asked me if this was me. I was obviously in the video. This was me,” one of the victims told the Nashville television station.

Police believe Booker recorded at least three freshman female students at the coed dorm. Upon his arrest, officers said they confiscated his phone and found videos of the students.

Two of the victims are considering filing a lawsuit against Middle Tennessee State University. They claim the school acted too slowly after the incident, claiming it took police more than two days to arrest Booker.

The victims also question whether proper security procedures were in place to prevent such an incident from occurring.

University officials declined to comment, News Channel 5 reported.
