James O’Keefe is back, and this time, he’s taking on the massively corrupt institution commonly referred to as “public-sector unions.”
O’Keefe, the man responsible for exposing the corruption at ACORN in 2009, has a launched a new company called Earth Supply and Renewal, a company that focuses on digging ditches and immediately filling them back up. The purpose is to create a job that didn’t previously exist, even though there is no demand for the job and the job possesses no societal value.
Astonishingly, public sector union officials embraced the idea after O’Keefe and his coworkers pitched it to them, and even compared O’Keefe’s company to the recent Green Jobs, Green New York program. O’Keefe includes the undercover footage of the union officials’ statements in his new YouTube video introducing Earth Supply and Renewal.
Green Jobs, Green New York was a $112 million dollar statewide initiative funded by the taxpayers, whose goal was to create environmentally friendly jobs. Heavily backed by state unions, Green Jobs, Green New York created jobs that involved changing light bulbs and installing more efficient showerheads.
Although it created taxpayer subsidized jobs, the programs was largely, as the union officials in the video agree, “bulls**t.”
“You know, the Green Jobs, Green New York, between us, a lot of it is bullsh**t,” said John Hutchings, Director of Laborers’ International Union of North America. “Even if it’s bulls**t, I think as long as people are working, that’s not bull, you know what I mean?”
The union officials then go into further detail about the various lobbyists they have access to, and state how they are willing to include O’Keefe’s new company in their collective bargaining in the future.
In what will undoubtedly be an embarrassing next few days for the union officials in this video, the people of New York State are probably going to be a little annoyed that their state taxes may be funding projects such as the digging and immediate refilling of holes.
