Susan Rice’s spokesperson won’t reply to Trump’s ‘ludicrous charge’

A spokesperson for Susan Rice responded on Wednesday to President Trump’s “ludicrous charge” that the former Obama national security adviser may have committed a crime for attempting to “unmask” the identities of people connected to Trump in U.S. intelligence reports.

“I’m not going to dignify the president’s ludicrous charge with a comment,” the spokesperson said, according to NBC.

During an interview with the New York Times, Trump was asked about whether he thought Rice committed a crime following a report that she tried to reveal the identities of Trump associates in foreign surveillance reports.

“Do I think? Yes, I think,” he said. Trump also characterized the controversy as “one of the big stories of our time.”

Rice maintains she has done nothing improper.
