FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — The city of Frederick is flying a special flag to commemorate the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
The red, white and blue banner features images of the World Trade Center’s twin towers, the Pentagon and the Liberty Bell. It is flying all week in front of City Hall as a reminder of the attacks in 2001.
The flag was donated to the city by the Daughters of the American Revolution. The group has given similar flags to local governments across the country.
