GOP lawmaker Chris Collins’ reelection campaign failed to get any donations from individuals during the first quarter of 2019, a new filing reveals.

The New York Republican — who was charged on counts including securities fraud, conspiracy to commit securities fraud, wire fraud, and making false statements to the FBI — received zero donations from individuals the first several months of the year, a Federal Election Commission filing shows.

In total, he raised $5,000 during the first quarter. The donation came from Republican Main Street PAC, Tuesday Group PAC, and from the campaign committee of former Rep. Dan Donovan of New York.

According to federal prosecutors, he allegedly encouraged lawmakers and former Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price to invest in an Australia-based pharmaceutical company where he is the largest stakeholder.

Collins claimed he wouldn’t run for reelection in the 2018 midterm election after he was arrested in August but reversed course and beat his Democratic challenger Nate McMurray in November. He pleaded not guilty to the charges. His son Cameron Collins also faces charges.
