Four years from Friday, someone will stand on the Capitol’s west portico and take the presidential oath of office at noon. Will it be President Trump doing so for the second time?
Bettors say Trump is the most likely person to win the 2020 election, but they’re not giving him better than 50/50 odds.
Here are the betting odds for who’ll win the 2020 election:
President Trump: 37 percent
Vice President Mike Pence: 7 percent
Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.: 7 percent
Michelle Obama: 5 percent
Hillary Clinton: 4 percent
Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J.: 3 percent
Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif.: 3 percent
Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.: 2 percent
Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va.: 2 percent
Michael Bloomberg: 2 percent
Former Vice President Joe Biden: 1 percent
Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, R-Wisc.: 1 percent
Gov. Andrew Cuomo, D-N.Y.: 1 percent
Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla.: 1 percent
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.: 1 percent
Former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro: 1 percent
Gov. John Kasich, R-Ohio: 1 percent
Other: 22 percent
Combined, Republicans have a 48 percent chance of winning, Democrats have a 28 percent chance, and “other” gets 22 percent.
So if you’re willing to risk a 20 spot to take a chance on Biden, you could be pocketing a cool grand four years from now.
