Ivanka Trump met with Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres on Friday.
The two had a private lunch at the U.N. headquarters in New York. According to a Refinery29 report, Guterres initiated the meeting after the World Bank’s women’s entrepreneurship panel at the G-20 summit.
At the summit, held last month in Germany, President Trump pledged $50 million to the World Bank program dedicated to women’s entrepreneurship in developing countries around the world.
Ivanka Trump advocated for the program during the summit. She also sat in for her father at various meetings.
