Pr. George’s police fatally shoot man
Prince George’s police shot and killed a man Sunday while responding to an armed robbery call on the 8600 block of Baltimore Avenue, according to spokesman Cpl. Mike Rodriguez. The suspect, who was not immediately identified, was transported to a hospital following the shooting where he was pronounced dead, Rodriguez said. A police dog suffered non-life-threatening injuries related to the shooting, Rodriguez said.
Man gets 3 life sentences
for abductions, rape
A Woodbridge man was given three life sentences for abducting two women and raping one in Arlington County.

Hector Luis Pagan, 51, pleaded guilty to abduction with intent to defile in the 2007 attack of a 23-year-old woman in the Four Mile Run area. He pulled the woman into the bushes and cut her face before she fought him off.
He also admitted to a similar assault a month earlier in which a 27-year-old was abducted at knifepoint from the same area and raped.
Girl, 17, sexually assaulted
Fairfax County police are investigating the sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl who escaped from her attacker.
The incident happened at 8:35 a.m. Tuesday on the 7700 block of Richmond Highway. A man grabbed the girl, touched her inappropriately and tried to pull her clothes off. The victim screamed and broke free. The assailant rode off on a mountain bike.
The attacker was Hispanic, in his late 20s. He was about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 145 pounds, with short black hair. He wore a multi-colored dark hooded sweat shirt, a multi-colored baseball cap, jeans and mirrored sunglasses.
Man with hockey mask
robs Alexandria bank
Alexandria police are investigating a bank robbery at an M&T Bank at 833 South Washington St.
At about 2:45 p.m. Thursday, a man wearing a hockey mask walked into the bank and brandished a firearm. The man took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.
