Former Fox News reporter Courtney Friel claimed President Trump called her before he was president and invited her to his office to kiss him.
Trump reportedly called her “the hottest one at Fox News,” according to an excerpt from her new book obtained by the New York Daily News. Friel, 39, said Trump called her up after she said she wanted to be a judge for the Miss USA beauty pageant. The exact time frame of the alleged phone call was not disclosed.
“Though he said I couldn’t be a judge since I worked at a different network, he did ask me about my career goals and complimented my work at FNC,” she said. “Then, out of nowhere, he said: ‘You should come up to my office sometime, so we can kiss.'”
“‘Donald,’ I responded, ‘I believe we’re both married.’ I quickly ended the call,” she said, adding that she was “shocked” by Trump’s proposition.
Friel said the future president’s advance “made it difficult” for her to report on his presidency. “It infuriated me that he would call all the women who shared stories of his bold advances liars. I totally believe them,” she said. “At least now I can joke that I could have banged the President — but I passed.”
The former Fox News reporter used to be a guest host of Fox & Friends, which Trump is known to watch frequently. She is now employed in Los Angeles by KTLA-TV.
The president has been accused by dozens of women of making unwanted sexual advances. In a book she released last summer, E. Jean Carroll accused Trump of sexually assaulting her. The president has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct.
The Washington Examiner has reached out to the White House for comment on the story.
