Lorain Morning Journal Says Obama Doesn’t ‘Get It’

This was the editorial from the local paper in Lorain, Ohio this morning as Obama prepared to speak to the public yet again:

“The same thing that swept Scott Brown into office swept me into office,” Obama said in a Wednesday interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. “People are angry, and they’re frustrated.”

That’s rubbish. Obama is no longer on the outside looking in. He is the president and needs to show he’s up to the job. It is him the voters are upset about.

Also incredulous was another presidential response. “What I haven’t always been successful at doing is breaking through the noise and speaking to the American people in a way that during the campaign you could do.”

Obama actually has the opposite problem, speaking far too much without really communicating to citizens.

Americans, especially those in Lorain County, are worried about keeping or finding jobs. What they hear is a president boasting of massive government spending while seeking job-killing tax hikes to finance an increasingly unpopular government-dominated health insurance scheme.

Ouch. Read the whole thing, and then maybe e-mail it to the president.
