Ashley Taylor, of the Ann Hand jewelry boutique in Georgetown, had a celebrity guest at her birthday party Monday, as singer/songwriter
Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds dropped by to wish her well.
So what drew Babyface to the Mexican-themed bash? Well, the R&B crooner and Taylor’s fiancé,
Joe Robert, CEO of the JE Robert Cos. and founder of the annual Fight Night charity gala, go way back.
“I didn’t even know he was there, he was so low-key,” said one partygoer.
We hear there was a karaoke machine on hand, but Babyface left before he could wow the crowd with his vocal stylings. He did, however, join in singing “Happy Birthday.”
