Patrick Bogan, 42, of Edgewood, was taken into custody on Friday and is expected to appear in U.S. District Court in Baltimore today during a detention hearing.
On Feb. 26, a Maryland State Trooper working with the FBI obtained a search warrant for Bogan?s Edgewood home and began the search on March 2 at 6:15 a.m.
Bogan is employed as a gymnastics teacher at Baltimore County Gymnastics, working with children 5 to 15 years old, according to prosecutors.
During the search, Bogan admitted to agents that he?s been looking at child pornography on a computer for the past five years, according to police documents.
Federal agents said they found five cabinets in Bogan?s residence, including one that contained 49 videotapes and compact discs. They also found several pairs of little girl panties.
Bogan said he did not remember where he got the girl panties from, according to police.
