Mayor Vince Gray’s job rating is sitting at a lowly 31 percent and 40 percent of District residents disapprove of the job he’s been doing, a poll released late Tuesday by Clarus found.
The poll of 500 registered D.C. voters taken Monday and Tuesday also found that D.C. Council Chairman Kwame Brown’s job approval rating is 27 percent and 43 percent disapprove of the job he’s been doing.
In a similar poll following Gray’s victory in the September primary, a Clarus poll found Gray’s personal approval rating at 60 percent.
But the recent series of scandals that have plagued his administration appear to have taken their toll.
Only 23 percent of voters believe Gray is living up to a high level of ethical standards. The poll found 54 percent believe he isn’t.
