EAST ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — A 19th-century suburban Rochester rail depot that was home to a model trains store has been destroyed in a fire.

Fire officials in the village of East Rochester tell local media that the blaze was reported around 5:15 p.m. at the former Penfield Station, a two-story wooden building that opened in 1884. Crews fought the fire for more than an hour before getting it contained.

The building was home to Despatch Junction, a toy store that sold model trains.

No one was inside the building at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
