‘Fat, irrelevant Scientologist’: Kirstie Alley says attacks over Trump support don’t faze her

Actress Kirstie Alley said she was “prepared” for the recent attacks she’s received since publicly supporting President Trump.

“They always attack the same three things, that I’m a ‘fat, irrelevant Scientologist,'” Alley told Fox News’s Sean Hannity on Monday.

“But, this has been going on for 40 years, so I’m sort of prepared,” Alley added. “That really is basically all they have to offer, so I honestly don’t take it too personally because I feel that people are angry and they have the right to say what they want to say, and I have the right to block them if I don’t like the way they speak.”

Fellow Hollywood celebrities and others attacked Alley after she tweeted her support for the president last week.

“I’m voting for @realDonaldTrump because he’s NOT a politician,” she tweeted. “I voted for him 4 years ago for this reason and shall vote for him again for this reason.”

“He gets things done quickly and he will turn the economy around quickly. There you have it folks there you have it,” she added.

Director Judd Apatow hit back at the Cheers actress, saying her former co-star “Shelly Long was way funnier than you.”

“Kirstie Alley’s tweet screamed ‘I can’t read! I don’t watch the news! Black Lives Don’t Matter! My body, your choice! and P—— wear masks! And sexuality is a preference!’” comedian Natasha Rothwell responded. “But all I can think about is how 87% of the people on here will have to google who she is.”

Trump addressed Alley’s support Tuesday morning during an interview on Fox & Friends.

“I think she’s great, and I’ve always liked her. I just think she’s got courage, you know. She’s Hollywood. She did very well in Hollywood,” Trump said.

“I think she’s great, and I think she has great hair.”
