Regional drug menace on the run

U.S. marshals are looking for a man wanted on four warrants from two jurisdictions, and authorities are asking the public to help find him.

Thirty-six-year-old Arnett Young is wanted on numerous drug charges and for violating his probation for drug dealing in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties. Young, who has lived in D.C., has been on the run since at least May, marshals say.

“Young is the picture of a regional crime problem,” said Inspector Matt Burke, of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. “He seems to be unable to follow the orders of the courts. The U.S. Marshals Task Force wants the public’s help to stop Young from selling drugs in our neighborhoods.”

Young has lived in the 5000 block of Blaine Street NE and frequented the Lincoln Heights neighborhood in the District and the Kettering neighborhood in Prince George’s.

Young is listed at 6 feet 3 and 220 pounds. He sometimes wears light-colored contact lenses and has a tattoo on his left arm and back. He sometimes uses the alias of Damond Gordon.

Anyone with information regarding Young’s whereabouts should contact the task force at 301-489-1717.

Tips from readers of The Washington Examiner have led to the arrests of 34 wanted fugitives in the D.C. area, including convicted murderers, kidnappers, child sex offenders, rapists and scam artists.

The Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, run by the U.S. Marshals Service, is composed of 30 federal, state and local agencies from Baltimore to Norfolk. The unit has captured more than 33,000 wanted fugitives since its creation in 2004.
