One of the open judge seats on “American Idol” has been filled. Mariah Carey will join the show, reportedly bringing in between $12 million and $17 million dollars. Carey is arguably the biggest star to be a judge on “Idol” — her predecessors include Paula Abdul, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. Despite rumors to the contrary, Randy Jackson is said to be staying with the show. That leaves one judging spot left to be filled.
