Victims identified in Bethesda crash

Montgomery County police have identified the two young adults killed in a weekend car crash in Bethesda.

Police said 20-year-old Nicholas Clayton and 18-year-old Kaitlin Gallagher died when the 2007 Chevrolet Trail Blazer they were riding in veered off Jones Bridge Road near Lancaster Drive, striking a fence and a tree, shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday.

Three others were hurt in the crash.

The driver, 22-year-old Roderick Brice II, was hospitalized in serious condition. Two other passengers, 19-year-old Kevin Russel and 18-year-old Conor Hayes, were taken to hospitals with injuries police said were not life-threatening.

The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
