Biden slams Warren: ‘We need more than plans’

Democratic presidential front-runner Joe Biden took a shot at Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren Friday at a fundraiser in Houston, alluding to Warren’s numerous campaign policy plans she has proposed.

According to a Biden campaign pool report, the former vice president, 76, told donors at the gathering, “We need more than plans. We need a president. We need someone who can execute a plan.” He added that it’s not “what you want to do, but what you can do.”

Warren has proposed numerous plans ranging from a wealth tax for the ultra-rich to expanding social security to ending private prisons to devaluing the U.S. dollar among other issues.

Although her plans are under a microscope, her advisers believe the policies will pressure her primary opponents to move further to the left the more successfully she performs on the campaign trail.

Warren’s “I have a plan for that” mantra has appealed to many of her supporters, given her academic background. However, others, such as former Missouri Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill, warned during an interview with MSNBC in June, that Warren may have issues with being “in command of the policy” and being “relatable.”
