[WATCH] Mob of teens robs Texas convenience store

For this Texas convenience store clerk, a slow night turned wild when a group of 30 to 40 teens stormed into the shop to steal food, beverages and candy, according to local CW affiliate KBTX.

Terry Polsgrove was working at the Chevron Food Mart in Bryan Saturday night when around 11:15pm a mob of kids entered the store.

“It got to the point where I started seeing more and more kids coming into the store,” he told the station.

“I called my co-worker in to come help me out and keep an eye on them because we’ve been having a lot of stealing in the store,” he continued. The situation only escalated from there.

While watching security camera footage, Polsgrove recalled, “You start seeing this young lady yelling, ‘Hey, come on in and get it! They’re giving away free stuff!’ so they started taking everything so I figured I’d shut the door and keep everyone separated, but as you can see I was overwhelmed.”

The cameras caught all of the madness on tape, fortunately. According to Bryan Police Department Public Information Office Kelley McKethan, the suspects could face charges of vandalism, organized crime, theft and assault.

“It’s appalling to see these young children acting the way they were,” she said. “Just because the child didn’t take a bag of chips; if they’re a part of it or egging it on, they can also be charged with it as well.”

KBTX also noted that some of the parents have given statements to the police. No charges have been filed as of press time, however.
