The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says COVID-19 vaccines may not be “100% effective at preventing illness” but stresses the “risk of infection, hospitalization, and death are all much lower in vaccinated people compared to unvaccinated.”
Los Angeles is implementing a vaccine mandate.
Beginning Nov. 8, all Los Angeles residents are required to get vaccinated against COVID-19 if they wish to access indoor areas, including gyms, movie theaters, spas, barbershops, restaurants, and coffee shops.
The Los Angeles County sheriff has warned the city may face a “mass exodus” among law enforcement officials due to the mandate.
