Pennsylvania State Police late Tuesday night arrested an escapee from a Maryland mental hospital facility in Catonsville after a high-speed motorcycle pursuit.
Paul D. McGlothlin, 32, was arrested in York County shortly after 11 p.m. after he ditched his motorcycle and attempted to flee.
A joint task force, composed of U. S. Marshals, Maryland State Police and Pennsylvania State Police, learned that McGlothlin was in the Red Lion area of York County.
When a Pennsylvania State Trooper attempted to stop McGlothin on the motorcycle he was operating, a high-speed pursuit ensued, Maryland state police said.
McGlothlin was chased down by police dog, which he assaulted, police said.
Earlier this month, McGlothin was incarcerated in the Harford County Detention Center awaiting trial on burglary and theft charges.
On Aug. 14, a court order sent McGlothin from the detention center to Spring Grove State Hospital in Catonsville, where he escaped through a window sometime after 2 a.m. Tuesday.
