ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — The University of Georgia is hosting a one-day seminar for educators on using technology in schools.
The July 20 workshop will focus on bring-your-own-technology programs at schools, as well as how to engage students with laptops and hand-held devices like iPads and netbooks. Speakers include administrators, teachers and technology coordinators from school districts across the state.

The deadline for registering is July 11. The workshop costs $125, which includes materials, lunch and a parking pass.
