Let’s just call this an unlikely duet.
When comedian Jimmy Fallon decided he needed a little help singing a ditty during an appearance during the weekend at George Washington University he looked to none other than Wolf Blitzer. Blitzer, who was innocently sitting in the audience, was pulled onto stage and made to sing about, well, “balls.”
The song, “Balls in My Mouth,” was created by Fallon to talk about the tar balls that developed in the Gulf of Mexico because of the oil spill.
Blitzer cooperated, sort of. While Fallon strummed his guitar and sang this: “Balls in your mouth, balls in your mouth, go swim in the ocean, you’ll get balls in your mouth.” Blitzer’s part sounded more like this: “Balls … balls … balls.”
On Monday, Blitzer continued being a good sport. “I was surprised Jimmy invited me to participate,” he told Yeas & Nays. “I think he is a very funny and talented performer and it was fun to be part of his act.”
Fallon was on campus as part of GW’s Colonials Weekend, in which parents are invited to the university. Fallon performed twice, with Blitzer sitting in on the 7 p.m. show.
