The long-awaited encounter between Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie may finally be happening. According to OK! magazine, Brad Pitt’s spurned wife and her replacement are set to come face to face at the glittery Night Before the Oscars party Saturday. Predictably, Jen is said to be all riled up about it.
“She has always known that this moment would happen and she’s never been more ready to see her nemesis, Angie, in the flesh,” an insider tells the tabloid. “She’s no longer alone — she has a hot man in her life — John Mayer — and she plans to bring him as her date to the party.”
“It’s taken time, but she’s getting past her insecurities about Brad and Angie and their huge happy family,” the source continues.
We seem to recall almost this exact same story coming out around Oscars time last year — and Brangelina then dodged a bullet by attending a different event instead.
Rihanna’s Heartbreak
Rihanna was supposed to celebrate turning 21 today with a lavish party. But instead, the singer has effectively been in hiding since boyfriend Chris Brown’s Feb. 8 arrest for allegedly assaulting her. And fans are still wondering what really happened.
The details of the couple’s argument are still murky — various online rumors accuse either him or her of cheating, among other scenarios — and loved ones say they never saw it coming.
Chris “flew so far under everyone’s radar that we just didn’t think he was that [abusive] type,” one relative of Barbados-born Rihanna told People magazine.
While the future of their relationship has not been determined — at least, publicly — a relative declared, “I don’t want her to go back to him. I don’t think anyone does.” We’d have to agree.
Sobering Story
Nick Carter is clean, sober and talking about his experiences with addiction to alcohol and drugs.
“Alcohol kind of kicked it off and then, once the alcohol kind of wasn’t doing it for me, I would lean on other things,” the Backstreet Boy confessed to Ellen DeGeneres.
During his wilder days, the former teen heartthrob recalls “a lot of occasions that I would kind of make excuses to just go out to drink and party. It would be excessive.”
But he continued to ignore warning signs.
“I got the DUI and I realized that it was wrong,” Nick explains. “Then I would end up in a situation where I was like, OK, well, I’ll stop for six months. And then after that, I would feel like it’s OK to get back into it. And sort of fool myself in a way.”
But now he has adopted healthier habits: “I just started replacing drinking and the parties … with healthier things like sports, video games.” Can a stint on “Sober House” be far off?
