“We are the World,” a song by USA for Africa, a supergroup made up of 46 pop stars, hit the charts for the first time.
The song was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie and sold more than 20 million copies, making it one of fewer than 30 singles to have sold 10 million copies worldwide.
