Omarosa: White House experience crazier than ‘Big Brother’

Omarosa Manigault-Newman said working in the White House was “crazier” than her experience on CBS’ “Celebrity Big Brother” after she was unanimously evicted from the house on Sunday night.

“I think working for the White House was a little crazier,” Manigault-Newman said of her time as a political aide compared to her experience on the reality TV show.

Colbert specifically showed the clip of a crying Manigault-Newman talking about her White House experience with television personality Ross Mathews where Manigault-Newman says Americans should be worried about Trump and that she was “haunted by tweets every single day.”

“We’ll have to wait and see,” Manigault-Newman said, in response to Colbert re-asking the question from the clip on whether the country will get through the Trump presidency.

Colbert followed up on Manigault-Newman’s comments on “Celebrity Big Brother” about Trump’s tweets later in the discussion. “What was it about the tweets that haunted you?” Colbert asked.

“He announced major policy issues on Twitter,” Manigault-Newman complained. “The transgender ban, for instance, was announced on Twitter.”

Manigault-Newman worked in the White House as the director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison and was fired for using a White House car service in December of last year. Manigault-Newman was reportedly dragged out of the White House during her departure after she refused to leave.

Manigault-Newman later joined this season’s current cast of CBS’ “Celebrity Big Brother” and made headlines talking about her time in the White House on the show.

Manigault-Newman compared living in the “Celebrity Big Brother” house to working in the White House on the show’s season premiere.

“There’s a lot of people that want to stab me in the back, kind of similar to the White House,” Manigault-Newman said.

The White House fired back at Manigault-Newman’s comments on the show where she said she was “haunted” by the Trump tweets.

“Omarosa was fired three times on ‘The Apprentice,’ and this was the fourth time we let her go,” White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah fired back.

Colbert was quick to remind Manigault-Newman of that fact when she reflected on her friendship with the president.

“Donald Trump was my friend for 15 years,” Manigault-Newman said, to which Colbert responded, “He fired you 4 times.”
