Second Lady of the United States Dr. Jill Biden didn’t marry Vice President Joe Biden for his sense of humor — instead, she “fell in love” with his two sons first.
Dr. Biden appeared on The TODAY Show on Wednesday morning, where she spoke with anchor Tamron Hall about Joining Forces, the White House initiative that gives members of the armed forces information about their benefits through the GI Bill at various schools. Dr. Biden also took time to answer questions from viewers — and one from Hall herself.
“What made you fall for Joe Biden?” Hall asked. “Was it his humor? What was it?”
“Oh, no, I loved his two sons — our two sons — Beau and Hunter,” Biden responded. “So I always say that I fell in love with the boys first.”
Beau serves as the Attorney General of Delaware and Hunter is a partner at Rosemont Seneca Partners, LLC.
Joining Forces, which Dr. Biden has championed alongside First Lady Michelle Obama, is celebrating its third year.
