Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is raising the specter of Republican senators following President Trump’s threat not to quit even if they lose.
In a letter to big donors, he warned, “If we head into Election Day with only a slim lead, they’ll try every trick in the book to snatch away the victory we’ve worked so hard for.” …

In a new book, Leaders Who Lust, Hillary Clinton is featured in the chapter about “The Lust for Success.” The authors wrote, “His lust for success was equaled by his wife’s — their shared ambitions likely explaining better than anything else their obviously difficult if ultimately enduring marriage.” …

In other book news, noted Ronald Reagan biographer Craig Shirley won the Library of Virginia’s 2020 People’s Choice Award for his latest, Mary Ball Washington: The Untold Story of George Washington’s Mother. The award came during a virtual dinner for the “Literary Awards Celebration.” On receiving it, Shirley said, “Mary has been unfairly maligned by history. She was a single mother raising five children in a century harsh to women. Mary was tough because she had to be tough. Along the way, researching and writing this book, I came to understand and appreciate what she went through and how she was able to raise such a noble, heroic, and important man. Hence, I am so gratified by this award. The Library of Virginia has given me a memory which will live in my heart forever.” …

But President Trump and embattled Sen. Kelly Loeffler have noticed her rise, and now, maybe in a first, the rookie House candidate is stumping for them throughout Georgia. In beating her critics, she said, “I really proved myself.” After endorsing Loeffler, the senator said, “Just like Marjorie, I’ve taken on the radical Left, cancel culture, and Fake News media and won.” …
