Marco Rubio receives first celebrity endorsement from ‘Pawn Stars’ host Rick Harrison

Hillary Clinton might be winning the music vote, but could Marco Rubio capture the reality television vote?

The Florida senator and official GOP candidate for president has just received a big celebrity endorsement from Rick Harrison of the popular show “Pawn Stars,” according to a report in the Las Vegas Sun.

Harrison and his wife will host a birthday-themed fundraiser for Rubio on May 28 — the politician’s true birthdate — at their home in Vegas. The event will also be cohosted by Republican Nevada Lt. Gov. Mike Hutchison, who serves as Rubio’s campaign chairman in the state.

What a nice present for Rubio to mark his 44th year of living. Nevada, of course, is a crucial swing state that Rubio will need to focus on as the 2016 presidential race heats up.

“Pawn Stars,” which is based in Las Vegas and airs on the History Channel, chronicles work life at Harrison’s Gold & Silver Pawn Shop.

Thanks to Rubio’s campaign, Republican fans of “Pawn” can enter to win a trip to Las Vegas to attend the bash, meet Rubio and Harrison, and spend the night on the city’s famous Strip just by donating upwards of $5 dollars to the presidential candidate’s campaign.
