SEE IT: Massive Alfredo sauce spill results in Tennessee highway closure

A crash involving a semitruck resulted in Alfredo sauce spilling across Interstate 55 in Memphis, Tennessee.

On Tuesday, a tractor-trailer hit a retaining wall along the interstate highway, flipping the truck on its side and splitting it open. A reporter on the scene noted it was carrying jars of Five Brothers Alfredo sauce at the time of the crash.

The sauce spread across all lanes of traffic, closing down the northbound lanes in the area and all but one southbound lane. While the crash happened just before 5 p.m., it would take Tennessee Department of Transportation employees over six hours to clean up the mess. By Wednesday afternoon, the highway was cleared and open to traffic.
