[PHOTO] President Bush turns Air Force One into an impromptu art gallery

Call them the paintings that led to the picture of bipartisanship.

White House photographer Pete Souza caught former President — and talented amateur painter — George W. Bush showing off his artwork to Obama administration officials on Air Force One en route to the Nelson Mandela memorial.

Bush, with a tablet showing the photos on the table below, is flanked by First Lady Michelle Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to his right, and around the table to his left, Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett, National Security Advisor Susan Rice, Attorney General Eric Holder, and former First Lady Laura Bush.

Bush opened up to the Dallas Morning News and late-night host Jay Leno earlier this year about his new hobby, telling the newspaper that he takes “great delight in busting stereotypes” through the activity.

“There’s a Rembrandt trapped in this body. Your job is to find him,” Bush quipped to his art teacher, as recounted to Leno.
