Leftovers: Rogers, more acorn cookies, greet White House guests

While all sorts of media types attended Monday’s Capitol File party, those with the more coveted invites strolled into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. to hobnob with the president and first lady at the first of the media holiday parties.

On hand: New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd, Politico’s Jim VandeHei and Bloomberg’s Ed Chen, among others. Social Secretary Desiree Rogers was posted (noticeably) at the door to greet guests.

Also spotted were more of those acorn-shaped cookies Rep. Steve King talked with Yeas & Nays about Monday. He found them to be ironic because of the president’s former ties with ACORN.
