Glamour Magazine honored Caitlyn Jenner as woman of the year in 2015, so who better to know what candidate is better on women’s issues?
In an interview with Stat magazine, Jenner said that Trump would be hands down the better candidate on women’s issues that any current Democrat, including the would be first woman president Hillary Clinton.
“Everybody looks at the Democrats as being better with these issues. But Trump seems to be very much for women,” Jenner told Stat.
“He backed the LGBT community. But in Trump’s case, there’s a lot more unknowns. With Hillary, you pretty much know what you’re gonna get with the LGBT community,” Jenner continued. “He seems very much behind the LGBT community because of what happened in North Carolina with the bathroom issue.”
In the wake of the controversial law in North Carolina that forced people to use public bathrooms of the birth gender, the Republican frontrunner’s announcement back in April that he would allow the reality star to use whatever gendered bathroom she felt comfortable in at Trump Towers.
During an episode of the reality show I Am Cait, Jenner told friends that Trump would be better on women’s issues than Clinton, much to their disappointment.
