‘Beverly Hills Cop’ series picked up by CBS

Eddie Murphy finally got his wish. After years of pushing networks to pick up a show based on his successful “Beverly Hills Cop” franchise, the comedian finally found a home for the show on CBS. The network picked up the production of the pilot. While the show will focus on Murphy’s Axel Foley, he won’t be the star of the show. Instead, the focus of the series with be Aaron Foley, Axel’s son, who is a cop in the department. Murphy will appear in the pilot and make appearances throughtout the show. No word yet on who will play Aaron, but I personally vote for Donald Glover.
