Hard Rock adds Spice

It should come as little surprise that five purveyors of canned pop music would patronize a canned restaurant about pop music. To wit, there were the Spice Girls — Sporty, Posh, Baby, Scary and Ginger — hanging out

at the Hard Rock Café on Wednesday night, in advance of their Thursday night show at the Verizon Center.

The five British lasses hung their many hats at the Four Seasons.

» New York City MayorMichael Bloomberg rode the Metro with Mayor Adrian Fenty on Thursday, as the pair traveled from the WAMU studios to a meeting at the D.C. Federal Affairs building. (Bloomberg makes it a habit to ride the subway in his own city as well.)

» We regret to report that D.C.’s own “Charlotte” (she goes by one name like Madonna and Cher) will not be among the next Pussycat Dolls. The local girl was eliminated from contention on The CW Washington’s reality series “Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious.”

» Speaking of reality shows, the producers of “So You Think You Can Dance” held auditions at the Atlas Performing Arts Center in Northeast on Thursday, so perhaps our city’s next reality star will be among those chosen.
