Like the month of March itself, this week may seem like winter in the beginning and spring in the end.
Much of the D.C. area could see light snow this morning before it mixes with rain after about 1 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. In the District and some of the surrounding areas, the Weather Service is predicting a 20 percent chance of precipitation.
Southern portions of the metro area are more likely to see snow today, although no accumulation is expected. Today’s high is expected to reach about 44 degrees in D.C., forecasters said.
But for those of you who don’t like the cold, relief looks to be on its way. Forecasters said Thursday will be mostly sunny with a high of about 67 degrees, and Friday’s high is expected to be near 60.
Before the warmer temperatures arrive, Tuesday will be sunny with a high near 50. The average high temperature on today’s date at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is 52 degrees, according to weather service records.
