‘Hi, Speed’: Apple expected to roll out newest line of iPhones

Fans of tech giant Apple are gearing up for a big announcement from the phone maker at Oct. 13’s “Hi, Speed” event.

News about the iPhone 12 was conspicuously missing from Apple’s most recent event on Sept. 15, prompting many analysts to assume that the October event will reveal details about the company’s latest model of phone.

Hinting at the faster capabilities of a new phone, analysts say the “Hi, Speed” event will feature new information about a super-fast 5G wireless modem built into the phone.

Apple has seen unprecedented growth during the coronavirus pandemic and remains close to its all-time high $2 trillion stock market valuation following a 4-for-1 stock split on Aug. 28.

Apple is also expected to announce “AirTags,” an accessory that can track objects by using Bluetooth technology to pair items with the phone.
