“Seinfeld’s” Julia Louis-Dreyfuss has officially become political. HBO announced Monday that it had picked up the TV series “Veep,” according to the Associated Press. In the show, Dreyfuss plays a senator-turned-vice president with Sarah Palin-like looks and a Joe Biden-like political pedigree. The pilot episode was shot predominantly in Baltimore, though the actress spent several days filming scenes in D.C. in early March. “Veep” will debut in 2012.
