Kellyanne Conway, former campaign manager to President-elect Trump, said Wednesday millennials protesting the election results need to stop receiving special treatment, including class credits, on their college campuses.
“We’re just treating these adolescents and millennials like precious snowflakes,” Conway told Fox News host Sean Hannity.
The pollster-turned-manager said she has received emails and texts of professors allowing students to protest Trump’s victory instead of taking tests of course materials. Conway said she doesn’t understand why they are protesting when Trump’s goal is to create 25 million new jobs and dismantle Obamacare so they “are not forced to buy” government healthcare.
She also ripped protesters and politicians who in the wake of the election have made the same complaints about Trump that they did a year ago.
“I haven’t heard anything new. All of their grievances and complaints are so pre-election. We heard all of this,” Conway said.
Instead, Conway urged people to follow the examples of President Obama and Vice President Biden, who have expressed confidence in the incoming administration.
Earlier Wednesday, Biden walked back his dire warnings about what a Trump administration would mean for the country, telling reporters, “No administration is ready on day one. We weren’t ready on day one … but I’m confident on day one everything will be in good hands.”
“Listen to Obama and Biden, they are trying to give Trump and Pence a chance,” Conway finished.
