Conservative columnist Ann Coulter started us down the path to overanalyzing the 2014 World Cup last week with a perfectly silly column about the collectivist nature of soccer.
Her article, which inspired groans everywhere, was soon followed by a column at the Atlantic, which claimed that the people in America who support soccer look “a lot like the coalition that got Obama elected.”
