Turns out Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth will honor his contract. Or, more accurately, he doesn’t want to lose any more money.
Haynesworth, upset about the switch to a 3-4 scheme, released a statement that reiterated his intentions to attend training camp when the Redskins begin July 29:

“Despite my differences with the Redskins, I have always planned to attend training camp and honor my contract. I am continuing to prepare for the season individually and will report on time, in shape and ready to play. Any issues I have with the club I will discuss privately and therefore do not plan to make any further public comments about this matter.”
But the real question is how will his teammates accept him, especially linebacker London Fletcher, the defensive leader who was vocal in his disdain for Haynesworth’s skipping the mandatory minicamp.
If Haynesworth isn’t in top shape and sits out practices, he’ll further erode his standing with his teammates. That’s a lock.
