AARON H. THOMAS

The suspect in the East Coast Rapist case can be extradited to Virginia to stand trial, a Connecticut judge has ruled. The judge approved an extradition request from prosecutors in both states for 40-year-old Aaron H. Thomas, who is suspected in a string of attacks along the East Coast between 1997 and 2009. He is now slated to first face charges in Prince William County. At least 17 attacks believed to have been committed by the East Coast Rapist have been reported in Maryland, Virginia, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
