Men with Roy Moore stickers push cameramen outside campaign event

Camera operators were confronted by men who wore Roy Moore stickers for the Alabama GOP Senate candidate outside a campaign rally on Monday night.

One man wearing a sticker pushed one of the camera operators, while another allegedly verbally assaulted a second camera operator.

Video footage obtained by Connor Sheets, a statewide investigative reporter for outlets including the Birmingham News, shows the one man pushing another man holding a camera outside a campaign rally in Henagar Park in Fort Payne, Ala. The man who grabbed the camera was Tony Goolsby, DeKalb County coordinator for Moore’s campaign, and organized the Monday night rally, according to Sheets.

“Go now!” a man can be heard saying in the clip. Another man appears to confront a second camera operator.

Press credentials were issued to reporters for Moore’s event Monday. It’s not clear if the cameraman confronted by Moore’s supporters had credentials.
